The word "hell"

The following words and Scriptures will help you reason on what it truly is.
First of all, it is wrong to think that a loving God would create a place of eternal torture and torment for sinners. * * We must understand the words used in the Bible:-

1. The word "Sheol" in the Old Testament (Hebrew Scriptures) is the Hebrew word for "grave".

2. The word "Hades" in the New Testament (Greek Scriptures) is the Greek word for "grave".

3. The word "Gehenna" in the New Testament and as used by Jesus Christ, is the Greek word for grave, but there is no resurrection from Gehenna as it means permanent destruction. you are not in God's memory so you cannot be resurrected from Gehenna.

4. The word "hell" is an old English word for "grave".

5. Simply put, when one dies, one returns to the dust, as it confirms for us at Genesis 3:19 . "For dust you are and to dust you will return".
6. To receive a resurrection you must be in God's memory.

7. The state of the dead is non-existence, as it says here at Ecclesiastes 9:5.

Ecclesiastes 9:5. and Jeremiah 7:31.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but
as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they
anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been
forgotten.
* Jeremiah 7:31 And they have built the high places of To´pheth, which
is in the valley of the son of Hin´nom, in order to burn their sons
and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and
that had not come up into my heart.

Notice in this last verse, the idea of someone throwing their sons into a fire is something that God would never think of. The word"fire" in the Bible means complete destruction.

8. Humans do not have a soul - they are a soul, (meaning the life of that person). Again, you can understand this from Ezekiel 18:4.

Another lie spread by Satan is the soul. We do not have a soul, we
are a soul. Notice Genesis 2:7. Adam was not given a soul, but he
became one. Reasoning on Ezekiel 18:4, we can see that the soul dies.

Genesis 2:7 And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from
the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the
man came to be a living soul.

Ezekiel 18:4 Look! All the souls-to me they belong. As the soul of the
father so likewise the soul of the son-to me they belong. The soul
that is sinning-it itself will die

I have put some of the main Scriptures, which you can reason on. We find this is a great relief to many people who are confused and have been taught wrongly by many institutions around the world, but let us not forget, Satan is the ruler of this wicked world. * The word "torment" in the Bible, means that people in Jesus' day were given over to the jailers, who were called "the tormentors". when used with the term "lake of fire", it means that a person is jailed in death forever. This person is not conscious, as we can see from the above Scripture, at Ecclesiastes 9:5.
