A todas [las estrellas] las llama por sus nombres (Sal. 147:4).
Pensemos en nuestra galaxia, la Vía Láctea. En este vasto océano de estrellas, planetas y sistemas solares, la Tierra parece un granito de arena en una inmensa playa. Imagínese: hay más de 100.000 millones de estrellas en la Vía Láctea. Si las contáramos a un ritmo de una estrella por segundo, ¡tardaríamos más de tres mil años! Si la Vía Láctea contiene 100.000 millones de estrellas, ¿qué se puede decir del universo? Pues bien, los astrónomos calculan que el universo contiene entre 50.000 y 125.000 millones de galaxias. Entonces, ¿cuántas estrellas hay en total? La mente humana difícilmente puede concebir una cifra tan descomunal. Y sin embargo, Jehová las llama a todas “por sus nombres”. Ahora que hemos visualizado un poco mejor el esplendor y la dignidad de Jehová, ¿no nos sentimos impulsados a alabar su gran nombre?

All of [the stars] he calls by their names.—Ps. 147:4.
Consider the Milky Way galaxy. In this vast ocean of stars, planets, and solar systems, planet Earth appears as insignificant in size as one grain of sand on an endless beach. Why, this one galaxy alone contains over 100 billion stars! If you could count one star each second nonstop for 24 hours a day, it would take you over 3,000 years to reach 100 billion. If the Milky Way galaxy alone contains 100 billion stars, what about the rest of the universe? Astronomers estimate that the Milky Way may be one of anywhere from 50 billion to as many as 125 billion galaxies. How many stars are there in the entire universe? The answer surely is mind-boggling. Yet, Jehovah calls all of them “by their names.” Upon seeing Jehovah clothed in such dignity and splendor, are you not moved to extol his great name?
