Venga tu reino. Efectúese tu voluntad, como en el cielo, también sobre la tierra (Mat. 6:10).
Muy pronto, el Reino de Dios acabará con el mundo de Satanás y se encargará de que se haga la voluntad divina en toda la Tierra (Dan. 2:44). La venida del Reino de Dios era muy importante para los discípulos de Jesús, y por eso le preguntaron: “[¿]Qué será la señal de tu presencia y de la conclusión del sistema de cosas?” (Mat. 24:3). Puesto que su presencia como Rey entronizado sería invisible, Jesucristo dio una señal visible. Se trata de una señal compuesta por diversos rasgos predichos en las Escrituras, y su cumplimiento indicaría a sus seguidores que él había comenzado a regir en el cielo. También marcaría el comienzo de lo que la Biblia llama “los últimos días”, es decir, el período final del malvado sistema que hoy domina este planeta (2 Tim. 3:1-5, 13; Mat. 24:7-14).

Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.—Matt. 6:10.

That Kingdom government is very shortly going to bring an end to Satan’s world and then supervise the doing of God’s will throughout the earth. (Dan. 2:44) Because the coming of God’s Kingdom was of great importance to Jesus’ followers, they asked him: “What will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?” (Matt. 24:3) A visible sign would be provided in view of the fact that Christ’s presence in Kingdom power would be invisible to those on earth. That sign would be composed of various features foretold in the Scriptures. Accordingly, Jesus’ followers alive at that time could discern that he had begun ruling in heaven. It would also mark the beginning of the period of time known in the Bible as “the last days” of the wicked system of things that now dominates the earth.—2 Tim. 3:1-5, 13; Matt. 24:7-14.
