Hija, tu fe te ha devuelto la salud. Ve en paz (Mar. 5:34).
Jesús no solo sintió compasión por las personas; también hizo mucho por ayudarlas. Veamos el ejemplo de una mujer que llevaba doce largos años sufriendo hemorragias. Ella sabía que, de acuerdo con la Ley mosaica, su enfermedad la hacía ceremonialmente inmunda a ella, así como a cualquiera que la tocara (Lev. 15:25-27). No obstante, lo que había escuchado sobre Jesús y sobre su manera de tratar a los demás de seguro la convenció de que él la curaría. Pensó: “Si toco nada más que sus prendas de vestir exteriores, recobraré la salud”. Armándose de valor, se acercó a él, lo tocó y de inmediato sintió que había sido curada. Jesús se dio cuenta de que alguien lo había tocado y miró a su alrededor para ver quién había sido. La mujer, temiendo quizás que él se hubiera enojado con ella por haber violado la Ley, cayó temblando a sus pies y le dijo toda la verdad. ¿La reprendió Jesús? Todo lo contrario; la tranquilizó con las palabras del texto de hoy (Mar. 5:25-33). ¡Qué aliviada debió de sentirse esta pobre mujer al oír esas afectuosas palabras!

Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace.—Mark 5:34.
Jesus put his pity and compassion into action. Consider one instance. For 12 long years, a woman suffered from an abnormal flow of blood. She knew that under the Mosaic Law, her condition made her and anyone who touched her ceremonially unclean. (Lev. 15:25-27) Still, Jesus’ reputation and demeanor must have convinced her that he could and would heal her. She kept saying: “If I touch just his outer garments I shall get well.” Summoning courage, she did so and immediately sensed that she had been healed. Jesus was aware that someone had touched him, and he looked around to see who it was. The woman, likely fearing a rebuke because she had violated the Law, fell down trembling at his feet and poured out the whole truth. Did Jesus reprimand this poor, suffering woman? Far from it! Reassuringly, he said the words of today’s text. (Mark 5:25-33) How comforted she must have been to hear such kind words!
