Pedro lo alzó, y dijo: “Levántate; yo mismo también soy hombre” (Hech. 10:26).
Hoy día solo unos cuantos hombres ungidos por espíritu santo tienen la responsabilidad de representar a la clase del esclavo. Ellos forman el Cuerpo Gobernante de los Testigos de Jehová. Estos hombres supervisan la obra del Reino y el programa de alimentación espiritual. Al igual que en el siglo primero, el Cuerpo Gobernante no consulta a cada uno de los miembros de la clase del esclavo antes de tomar una decisión (Hech. 16:4, 5). Los miembros de la gran muchedumbre agradecen el alimento espiritual que se produce bajo la dirección del Cuerpo Gobernante. Y aunque respetan a la clase del esclavo, tienen cuidado para no exaltar a nadie que afirme pertenecer al esclavo. Ningún cristiano que realmente ha sido ungido con el espíritu de Dios quiere o espera que lo traten así (Hech. 14:14, 15).

Today a limited number of anointed men have the responsibility of representing the slave class. They make up the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. These spirit-anointed men oversee the Kingdom work and the spiritual feeding program. As in the first century, though, the Governing Body does not consult with each individual member of the slave class before making decisions. (Acts 16:4, 5) Members of the great crowd appreciate the spiritual food produced under the Governing Body’s direction. But at the same time, while respecting the slave as a class, members of the great crowd are careful not to elevate any individuals who claim to be part of that slave. No Christian who genuinely receives the anointing with God’s spirit would want or expect such treatment.—Acts 14:14, 15.
