El estar nosotros adecuadamente capacitados proviene de Dios (2 Cor. 3:5).
Cualquier don que tengamos se debe a “la bondad inmerecida” de Jehová (Rom. 12:3). De modo que nunca deberíamos presumir de nuestros logros. Hemos de reconocer con humildad que todo lo que alcancemos en el servicio a Dios se debe a su bendición, no a nuestras propias habilidades (1 Cor. 3:6, 7). El apóstol Pablo dijo a los romanos: “A cada uno que está allí entre ustedes [le digo] que no piense más de sí mismo de lo que sea necesario pensar”. Es importante tener cierto grado de autoestima y sentir alegría y satisfacción al servir a Jehová. Sin embargo, debemos ser modestos, es decir, estar conscientes de nuestras limitaciones, a fin de no convertirnos en personas dogmáticas e inflexibles. Claro, se requiere verdadera humildad y un esfuerzo consciente a fin de reconocer que hay algo en lo que cada uno de nuestros hermanos es superior a nosotros (Fili. 2:3). Es posible que quienes tienen responsabilidades especiales en la organización reciban más atención que los demás, pero todos debemos sentirnos muy contentos al llevar a cabo “cosas humildes”, tareas que suelen pasar desapercibidas a la gente (Rom. 12:16; 1 Ped. 5:5).

Our being adequately qualified issues from God.—2 Cor. 3:5.
The gifts we may have are due to Jehovah’s “undeserved kindness.” (Rom. 12:3) Therefore, we should not glorify ourselves. We should humbly recognize that any fruitage we may have in our ministry is the result of God’s blessing, not our own competence. (1 Cor. 3:6, 7) In line with this, Paul states: “I tell everyone there among you not to think more of himself than it is necessary to think.” It is necessary that we have self-respect and find joy and satisfaction in our Kingdom service. However, being modest, or being aware of our limitations, will prevent us from becoming opinionated. It takes true humility and conscious effort to recognize that each of our brothers and sisters is superior to us in one way or another. (Phil. 2:3) While privileges of special service may bring some into the limelight, all will find deep joy in accomplishing “lowly things,” humble tasks that often go unnoticed by men.—Rom. 12:16; 1 Pet. 5:5.
