Entre las cosas repugnantes de las cuales la religión falsa es responsable, están las numerosas guerras en las que cientos de millones de personas han perdido la vida (Rev. 17:5; 18:24). A esto hay que agregar el abuso de menores y otros actos de inmoralidad sexual cometidos por clérigos y tolerados por las autoridades eclesiásticas. ¿Verdad que no nos extraña que Jehová vaya a eliminar pronto a la religión falsa? (Rev. 18:8.) Los cristianos verdaderos sabemos qué le espera a Babilonia la Grande; por eso tenemos la obligación de avisar a sus miembros. Una manera de hacerlo es distribuyendo biblias y publicaciones bíblicas editadas por “el esclavo fiel y discreto” (Mat. 24:45). Si alguien se interesa en el mensaje de la Biblia, lo invitamos a que estudie con nosotros, esperando que vea la necesidad de “[huir] de en medio de Babilonia” antes de que sea demasiado tarde (Jer. 51:6; Rev. 18:4).

Among “the disgusting things” that false religion bears responsibility for are the many wars that have resulted in hundreds of millions being “slaughtered on the earth.” (Rev. 17:5; 18:24) Additional “disgusting things” include acts of pedophilia and other forms of sexual immorality committed by clergymen and tolerated by the church authorities. Is it any wonder that Jehovah God will soon rid this earth of false religion? (Rev. 18:8) True Christians, who know this, have an obligation to warn members of Babylon the Great. One way they do so is by distributing Bibles and related literature published by “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Matt. 24:45) When individuals show an interest in the Bible’s message, arrangements are made to help them by means of a Bible study. Hopefully, they will see the need to “flee out of the midst of Babylon” before it is too late.—Jer. 51:6; Rev. 18:4.
