Contemplar las obras creativas de Jehová y reflexionar en sus maravillosas y confiables promesas debería hacer que creciera en ti el deseo de dedicarte a Jehová y simbolizar tu dedicación mediante el bautismo. Este es un paso fundamental que debe dar todo el que quiere servir a Dios. Iniciarás una carrera de larga distancia cuyos premios son, en la actualidad, el gozo de hacer la voluntad de Dios, y en el futuro, vida eterna (Heb. 12:2, 3). También les darás una gran alegría a los miembros de tu familia que ya han emprendido esa carrera, así como a tus amigos de la congregación. Pero lo más importante es que al bautizarte alegrarás el corazón de Jehová. Es cierto que habrá quienes no entiendan por qué has decidido adorar a Jehová y cuestionen tu decisión. Incluso pudieran ponerse en tu contra. Pero tú puedes superar esas pruebas

Contemplating Jehovah’s creative works and reflecting on his wonderful and completely reliable promises should move you not only to make a dedication to Jehovah but also to symbolize that dedication by water immersion. Baptism is a vital step to be taken by those wanting to serve God. By taking this step, you enter a long-distance footrace in which the rewards are everlasting life and the joy that comes now from doing God’s will. (Heb. 12:2, 3) You will also bring joy to your family members who are already in the race and to your friends in the Christian congregation. Most important of all, you will make Jehovah’s heart rejoice. True, others may not understand why you have chosen to worship Jehovah, and they may question your decision. They may even oppose you. But you can successfully meet these challenges
