El Diablo, habiendo concluido toda la tentación, se retiró de él hasta otro tiempo conveniente (Luc. 4:13).
Después de tres intentos fallidos por quebrantar la lealtad de Jesús, “el Diablo lo dejó” (Mat. 4:11). Pero no se dio por vencido, como lo muestra el texto de hoy. Aunque hayamos superado una tentación —y estemos agradecidos a Jehová por ello—, debemos seguir buscando la ayuda divina. No olvidemos que Satanás seguirá tratando de tentarnos, y lo hará cuando mejor le convenga, no necesariamente cuando lo estemos esperando. Por eso es tan importante que estemos siempre alertas, listos para afrontar las pruebas que vengan y decididos a seguir sirviendo a Jehová. Algo que nos ayudará a resistir las tentaciones del Diablo es pedirle a Jehová su espíritu santo, la fuerza más poderosa del universo, con la confianza de que nos la dará. Con el espíritu santo podremos hacer cosas que nos resultaría imposible hacer con nuestras propias fuerzas.

The Devil, having concluded all the temptation, retired from him until another convenient time.—Luke 4:13.
After the Devil’s third unsuccessful attempt to get Jesus to compromise His integrity to God, “the Devil left him.” (Matt. 4:11) However, Satan did not intend to stop tempting Jesus, as we are told in today’s text. When we succeed in opposing the Devil, we should thank Jehovah. But we should also seek God’s continued help, for the Devil will return to tempt us at another time convenient for him—and not necessarily when we may be expecting a temptation. Hence, we must remain alert at all times, ready to persevere in rendering sacred service to Jehovah regardless of the tests we must face. To help us in our efforts to oppose the Devil, we should pray for and will receive the most powerful force in the universe—God’s holy spirit. It will enable us to do things that would be impossible for us to do in our own strength.
