Job Tested by Satan

 
 Job was a wealthy and influential man, a patriarch of good moral character. He was evidently a highly regarded counselor who befriended the needy. 

Most important, Job feared God. Job is described as a man who “proved to be blameless and upright, and fearing God and turning aside from bad.” It was Job’s godly devotion—not his wealth and influence—that made him a target for the attacks of Satan the Devil.—Job 1:1; 29:7-16; 31:1.
 
 The introductory narrative of the book of Job describes a gathering in heaven where the angels took their station before Jehovah. Satan was also present, and he leveled charges against Job. (Read Job 1:6-11.) Although Satan mentioned Job’s possessions, he focused his attention on challenging Job’s integrity. 

The term “integrity” carries the thought of being upright, blameless, righteous, and faultless. As used in the Bible, human integrity denotes a completeness of heart devotion to the person of Jehovah.
 
 Satan claimed that Job’s worship of God was based on selfishness, not integrity. Satan alleged that Job would be loyal to Jehovah only as long as God continued to reward and protect him. To provide an answer to Satan’s charge, Jehovah allowed Satan to attack that faithful man. As a result, within the course of one day, Job learned that his livestock had been stolen or destroyed, his attendants had been killed, and his ten children had lost their lives. (Job 1:13-19) 

Did Job cave in to Satan’s attack? The inspired record describes Job’s reaction to his misfortune: “Jehovah himself has given, and Jehovah himself has taken away. Let the name of Jehovah continue to be blessed.”—Job 1:21.
 
 Later, there was another gathering in heaven. Again Satan leveled charges against Job, saying: “Skin in behalf of skin, and everything that a man has he will give in behalf of his soul. For a change, thrust out your hand, please, and touch as far as his bone and his flesh and see whether he will not curse you to your very face.” Notice that Satan expanded his accusations.

By saying, “Everything that a man has he will give in behalf of his soul,” the Devil challenged the integrity not only of Job but of any “man” who worships Jehovah. Thereafter, God permitted Satan to strike Job with a painful disease. (Job 2:1-8) But that was not the full extent of Job’s trials.

 Job era un hombre rico e influyente que ayudaba a los necesitados, un patriarca de gran calidad moral y un consejero muy respetado. Pero sobre todo, tenía temor de Dios. El relato señala que Job “resultó sin culpa y recto”, y que fue un hombre “temeroso de Dios y apartado del mal”. Fue su devoción a Dios, no sus riquezas ni su influencia, lo que lo convirtió en el blanco de los ataques del Diablo (Job 1:1; 29:7-16; 31:1).
 
 El libro de Job comienza hablando de una reunión que tuvo lugar en el cielo: los ángeles ocuparon su posición delante de Jehová, y Satanás, que también estaba presente, lanzó una acusación en contra de Job (léase Job 1:6-11). 

Aunque mencionó las riquezas del patriarca, el principal objetivo del Diablo fue cuestionar los motivos por los que era íntegro. La palabra integridad conlleva la idea de ser recto e intachable. En su sentido bíblico, la integridad es sinónimo de devoción absoluta y de todo corazón a Jehová.
 
 Satanás afirmó que Job adoraba a Dios por puro egoísmo, no por verdadera devoción. Aseguró que solo le sería leal a Jehová mientras recibiera su bendición y protección. A fin de responder a la acusación, Jehová dejó que el Diablo atacara al fiel patriarca. Como consecuencia, el ganado de Job fue aniquilado o cayó en manos de salteadores, la mayoría de sus siervos fueron asesinados y sus diez hijos murieron, todo en un solo día (Job 1:13-19). 

¿Reaccionó Job como esperaba el Diablo? Todo lo contrario: cuando le sobrevinieron esas terribles desgracias, dijo: “Jehová mismo ha dado, y Jehová mismo ha quitado. Continúe siendo bendito el nombre de Jehová” (Job 1:21).
 
 Poco después se celebró otra reunión en el cielo. Una vez más, Satanás acusó a Job diciendo: “Piel en el interés de piel, y todo lo que el hombre tiene lo dará en el interés de su alma. Para variar, sírvete alargar la mano, y toca hasta su hueso y su carne, y ve si no te maldice en tu misma cara”. Observemos que esta vez las acusaciones del Diablo fueron más abarcadoras. 

Al decir “todo lo que el hombre tiene lo dará en el interés de su alma”, no solo arrojó dudas sobre la lealtad de Job, sino la de todos los seres humanos que sirven a Dios. De nuevo recibió autorización para atacar a Job, y esta vez lo hirió con una dolorosa enfermedad (Job 2:1-8). Pero los sufrimientos del patriarca no terminaron allí.

Cristo ofreció ruegos y también peticiones a Aquel que podía salvarlo (Heb. 5:7).
Las experiencias que Jesús vivió en la Tierra le enseñaron cosas nuevas acerca de la obediencia a Dios (Heb. 5:8). Pero ¿qué más podía aprender sobre este tema que no supiera ya? Después de todo, había pasado millones de años al lado de su Padre y había colaborado estrechamente con él como su “obrero maestro” durante la creación (Pro. 8:30). Sin embargo, el sufrimiento que padeció como ser humano lo puso a prueba, y al resistir fielmente demostró que su obediencia y su integridad eran absolutas. Aunque Jesús era perfecto, sabía que no lograría obedecer a la perfección por sus propias fuerzas. Por eso le pidió ayuda a Jehová. Nosotros también necesitamos ser humildes y pedir siempre la ayuda de Dios para no desobedecer. El apóstol Pablo exhortó así a los cristianos: “Mantengan en ustedes esta actitud mental que también hubo en Cristo Jesús, quien [...] se humilló y se hizo obediente hasta la muerte” (Fili. 2:5-8).

Christ offered up supplications and also petitions to the One who was able to save him.—Heb. 5:7.
Jesus’ experience as a human on earth taught him new aspects of obedience. (Heb. 5:8) It may seem that there could be nothing more for Jesus to learn about serving Jehovah. After all, he had enjoyed intimate association with Jehovah for unknown aeons and had been God’s “master worker” during creation. (Prov. 8:30) Nevertheless, personally enduring in faith as a human despite suffering proved his complete integrity. Although he was a perfect man, Jesus did not try to remain perfectly obedient on his own. He prayed for God’s help to remain obedient. For us to remain obedient, we too need a humble, prayerful attitude. For this reason, the apostle Paul counseled Christians: “Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus,” who “humbled himself and became obedient as far as death.”—Phil. 2:5-8.

Eres fuerte

Una persona fuerte sabe cómo mantener en orden su vida. Aun con lágrimas en los ojos, se las arregla para decir con una sonrisa,  "estoy bien".   Dios es bueno. El cambio viene. Dios ve nuestras tristezas y dijo que los tiempos duros pasaran.   Se honesto y Quien te lastima te hace *FUERTE*,

quien te critica te hace *IMPORTANTE*,

quien te envidia te hace *VALIOSO*,

y a veces es divertido saber que aquellos que te desean lo peor...

tienen que soportar que te ocurra *LO MEJOR!!!*

Le oro   a Dios para que te cuide, le oro a Dios para que te ilumine, le oro a Dios para que esté   siempre a tu lado y le oro a nuestro padre Jehova para que nunca te falte la Felicidad.
