“JEHOVAH is in truth God,” said the prophet Jeremiah. “He is the living God.” (Jeremiah 10:10) Furthermore, Jehovah God is the Creator of all living things. Jehovah also sustains our lives. (Acts 17:28) He provides the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe, and the land we live on. (Acts 14:15-17) Jehovah has done this in a way that makes life enjoyable. “JEHOVÁ es en verdad Dios —afirmó el profeta Jeremías—. Él es el Dios vivo.” (Jeremías 10:10.) Además, es el Creador de todos los seres vivos. Así lo reconocieron en el cielo algunas de sus criaturas al decir: “Tú creaste todas las cosas, y a causa de tu voluntad existieron y fueron creadas” (Revelación [Apocalipsis] 4:11). Y en una canción de alabanza a Jehová, el rey David indicó: “Contigo está la fuente de la vida” (Salmo 36:9). Por lo tanto, la vida es un regalo de Dios.
Además, Jehová hace posible que continuemos con vida (Hechos 17:28). Él nos da los alimentos que comemos, el agua que bebemos, el aire que respiramos y la tierra donde vivimos (Hechos 14:15-17). Y lo hace de forma que la vida resulte agradable. Sin embargo, para disfrutar de la vida al máximo, tenemos que conocer las leyes de Dios y obedecerlas (Isaías 48:17, 18).
