Los que [se casen] tendrán tribulación en la carne (1 Cor. 7:28).
La “tribulación” pudiera incluir problemas de salud de la pareja, de sus hijos o de sus padres mayores. Pero también pudiera incluir dificultades y disgustos relacionados con la crianza de los hijos. La Biblia predijo que “en los últimos días se presentar[ían] tiempos críticos, difíciles de manejar”, y entre las situaciones difíciles de manejar estaría la desobediencia de los hijos (2 Tim. 3:1-3). Como nadie es inmune a los efectos de estos “tiempos críticos”, la crianza de los hijos se ha convertido en todo un reto para los padres cristianos. Estos tienen que luchar sin tregua contra la dañina influencia que el “sistema de cosas de este mundo” ejerce en sus hijos (Efe. 2:2, 3). Y lamentablemente, no siempre ganan la batalla, pues a veces los hijos dejan de servir a Jehová. Para los padres que han hecho todo lo posible por criar a sus hijos en la verdad divina, esta es sin duda una causa de “tribulación” (Pro. 17:25).

Those who [marry] will have tribulation in their flesh.—1 Cor. 7:28.
The “tribulation” may involve health problems for the couple, their children, or their aging parents. It may also involve difficulties and heartaches connected with the rearing of their children. The Bible foretold that “the last days” would bring “critical times hard to deal with.” Among the things hard to deal with would be children who are “disobedient to parents.” (2 Tim. 3:1-3) Rearing children is a serious challenge for Christian parents. We are not shielded from the adverse effects of the current “critical times.” Hence, Christian parents have to wage an ongoing fight against the pernicious influence that “the system of things of this world” can have on their children. (Eph. 2:2, 3) And the battle is not always won! In case a son or a daughter of a Christian family stops serving Jehovah, it is, indeed, “tribulation” for parents who have tried to raise him or her in God’s truth.—Prov. 17:25.
