Al ver las muchedumbres, se compadeció de ellas, porque estaban desolladas y desparramadas como ovejas sin pastor (Mat. 9:36).
A los pobres y los afligidos Jesús hizo esta bondadosa invitación: “Vengan a mí, todos los que se afanan y están cargados, y yo los refrescaré” (Mat. 11:28). Además, puso de manifiesto lo que es la verdadera justicia al enseñar las normas de Jehová sobre el bien y el mal (Isa. 42:3). Enseñó que la Ley de Dios debía aplicarse de manera razonable y misericordiosa (Mat. 23:23). Y actuó con justicia al predicar a ricos y pobres por igual (Mat. 11:5; Luc. 18:18-23). De acuerdo con la profecía de Isaías, el escogido de Jehová establecería “la justicia en la tierra” (Isa. 42:1, 4). Y esto es lo que hará dentro de poco como Rey del Reino mesiánico, cuando destruya a los gobiernos humanos y los reemplace con su propio gobierno justo. Instaurará, entonces, un nuevo mundo, donde “la justicia habrá de morar” (2 Ped. 3:13; Dan. 2:44).

On seeing the crowds he felt pity for them, because they were skinned and thrown about like sheep without a shepherd.—Matt. 9:36.

Jesus offered such ones a kind invitation, saying: “Come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh you.” (Matt. 11:28) Furthermore, Jesus ‘brought forth justice’ by teaching Jehovah’s standards of right and wrong. (Isa. 42:3) He further showed that God’s Law needed to be applied with reasonableness and mercy. (Matt. 23:23) Jesus also displayed justice by preaching without prejudice to both rich and poor. (Matt. 11:5; Luke 18:18-23) Isaiah’s prophecy also predicts that Jehovah’s “chosen one” “sets justice in the earth.” (Isa. 42:1, 4) This he will shortly do when as King of the Messianic Kingdom, he destroys all political kingdoms and replaces them with his own righteous rule. He will usher in a new world, where “righteousness is to dwell.”—2 Pet. 3:13; Dan. 2:44.
