En esto todos conocerán que ustedes son mis discípulos, si tienen amor entre sí (Juan 13:35).
Cuando acuden a nuestras reuniones, las personas perciben el amor que nos demostramos. Una estudiante de la Biblia se expresó del siguiente modo en una carta: “Me encanta ir a las reuniones. ¡Son todos tan amables conmigo!”. Jesús advirtió que sus discípulos tal vez tendrían oposición de parte de sus familias (Mat. 10:35-37). Pero prometió que en la congregación encontraríamos “hermanos, y hermanas, y madres, e hijos” (Mar. 10:30). Los hermanos de edad avanzada también desempeñan un importante papel en el progreso de los estudiantes. ¿Por qué decimos eso? Porque sus comentarios en las reuniones fortalecen la fe de los nuevos. Además, estos cristianos llevan muchos años “en el camino de la justicia”, y eso enriquece a la congregación y atrae a las personas sinceras a la verdad (Pro. 16:31).

By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.—John 13:35.
When Bible students attend meetings, they are often impressed with the loving atmosphere of our gatherings. One Bible student wrote: “I do so enjoy attending the meetings. The people are so welcoming!” Jesus said that those who become his followers may be opposed by their literal family. (Matt. 10:35-37) However, he promised that in the congregation, they would gain numerous spiritual “brothers and sisters and mothers and children.” (Mark 10:30) Our elderly brothers and sisters especially play a vital role in helping Bible students to progress. In what way? Their upbuilding comments at congregation meetings strengthen the faith of all who hear them. Their record of walking “in the way of righteousness” adds beauty to the congregation and attracts honesthearted people to God’s organization.—Prov. 16:31
