Cuando los líderes religiosos judíos interrogaron a Jesús sobre la resurrección, él les mencionó unas palabras de las Escrituras en las que no habían reparado (Éxo. 3:6; Mat. 22:23, 31-33). Cuando un escriba le preguntó cuál era el mandamiento más importante, Jesús le contestó con unos pasajes bíblicos (Lev. 19:18; Deu. 6:5; Mar. 12:28-34). La manera de hablar de Jesús y su uso de las Escrituras produjeron “una división respecto a él entre la muchedumbre”, y sus opositores no pudieron hacerle daño (Juan 7:32-46). ¿Cómo puedes imitar el ejemplo de Jesús si te hacen preguntas sobre tu fe? Responde utilizando la Biblia y hazlo “con genio apacible y profundo respeto” (1 Ped. 3:15).

Know how you ought to give an answer.—Col. 4:6.
When Jewish religious leaders interrogated Jesus about the resurrection, he directed their attention to a scripture that they had not taken into account. (Ex. 3:6; Matt. 22:23, 31-33) When a scribe asked him which was the greatest commandment, Jesus quoted appropriate Bible verses to him. (Lev. 19:18; Deut. 6:5; Mark 12:28-34) Jesus’ use of the Scriptures and his way of speaking caused “a division over him . . . among the crowd,” and his opposers could not bring harm to him. (John 7:32-46) When you answer questions about your faith, use the Bible and respond “with a mild temper and deep respect.” (1 Pet. 3:15)
