Rápidamente olvidaron sus obras; no esperaron su consejo (Sal. 106:13).
Hay quienes han dejado el rebaño de Dios porque no estaban de acuerdo con alguna enseñanza bíblica. Tal vez sería útil recordarle al hermano que “el esclavo fiel y discreto” suministra excelente alimento espiritual (Mat. 24:45). De hecho, fue gracias a ese alimento que llegó a conocer la verdad. ¿No sería mejor que regresara a la senda de la verdad? (2 Juan 4.) El anciano que está tratando de ayudar a un hermano inactivo podría hablarle de los discípulos de Jesús que lo abandonaron porque no estuvieron dispuestos a aceptar una de sus enseñanzas (Juan 6:53, 66). Al cortar la relación que tenían con Cristo y con los discípulos fieles, su espiritualidad y su gozo se vinieron abajo. ¿Y hoy día? ¿Acaso han encontrado los que se apartaron de la congregación otro lugar con alimento espiritual de calidad? No, porque no existe tal lugar

Quickly they forgot his works; they did not wait for his counsel.—Ps. 106:13.
Some may have left God’s flock because they did not agree with some Scriptural teaching. It may be helpful to remind an inactive one that “the faithful and discreet slave” is dispensing excellent spiritual food. (Matt. 24:45) That is how the person originally learned the truth. So why should he not be determined to walk in the truth again? (2 John 4) When endeavoring to help those who have strayed from God’s flock, the elder might refer to the disciples who abandoned Jesus because of rejecting one of his teachings. (John 6:53, 66) By cutting off association with Christ and his faithful followers, they lost their spirituality and their joy. Have those who stopped associating with the Christian congregation found another place where there is rich spiritual food? No, for there is none !
