[La] voluntad [de Dios] es que hombres de toda clase se salven y lleguen a un conocimiento exacto de la verdad (1 Tim. 2:4).
Los testigos de Jehová están buscando por toda la Tierra a las personas que desean conocer a Dios y servirle. De hecho, llevamos ya diecisiete años dedicando más de mil millones de horas anuales a predicar y hacer discípulos. Y aunque tenemos que sacrificar tiempo, energías y recurso, lo hacemos con mucho gusto. Al igual que Jesús, sabemos que nuestro amoroso Padre celestial desea que la gente adquiera el conocimiento que lleva a la vida eterna (Juan 17:3). El amor nos impulsa a ayudar a las personas sinceras para que conozcan a Jehová y lo amen tanto como nosotros. En efecto, para ser maestros verdaderamente eficaces, debemos amar a Dios, amar la verdad y amar a la gente. Si cultivamos ese amor y lo ponemos de manifiesto en nuestro ministerio, no solo sentiremos la alegría de dar, también tendremos la satisfacción de saber que estamos imitando a Jesús y agradando a Jehová.

[God’s] will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.—1 Tim. 2:4.
Jehovah’s Witnesses scour the earth in search of those who yearn to know and serve God. In fact, for the past 17 years in a row, we have spent over one billion hours annually in the preaching and disciple-making work. We do so willingly, although the preaching work requires that we sacrifice time, energy, and material resources. Like Jesus, we understand that our loving heavenly Father desires that people acquire the knowledge that leads to everlasting life. (John 17:3) Love moves us to help honesthearted ones to come to know and love Jehovah as we do. Yes, to be truly effective teachers, we need a threefold love—love for God, love of the truth, and love for people. As we cultivate that kind of love and display it in our ministry, we experience not only the joy of giving but also the satisfaction of knowing that we imitate Jesus and please Jehovah.
