El pequeño mismo llegará a ser mil, y el chico una nación poderosa (Isa. 60:22).
Desde el establecimiento del Reino de Dios en los cielos en el año 1914, el pueblo de Dios ha presenciado el cumplimiento literal de esta profecía. El grupito de ungidos que participaba en la obra del Reino a principios del siglo XX no podía siquiera imaginar que en el año 2008 habría más de siete millones de testigos de Jehová realizando dicha obra en más de doscientos treinta países y territorios. Un crecimiento extraordinario, sin duda, pero ahí no termina. Llegará el momento en que toda persona que viva en este planeta sea súbdito del Reino de Dios. Para entonces, todos los malvados habrán sido eliminados. Y eso no ocurrirá gracias a los esfuerzos humanos, sino a la intervención del Señor Soberano Jehová (Dan. 2:34, 35). Entonces veremos el cumplimiento final de otra profecía de Isaías, que dice: “La tierra ciertamente estará llena del conocimiento de Jehová como las aguas cubren el mismísimo mar” (Isa. 11:9).

The little one himself will become a thousand, and the small one a mighty nation.—Isa. 60:22.

Since the establishment of God’s Kingdom in heaven in 1914, God’s people have seen the literal fulfillment of this prophecy. The small group of anointed ones associated with the Kingdom work early in the 20th century had no way of knowing that by the year 2008, more than seven million Witnesses would be engaging in this work in over 230 lands. Truly amazing growth! But does the growth stop there? No. The subjects of God’s Kingdom will eventually encompass the entire earth. All opposers will have been removed. This will not occur as a result of human efforts but because of the intervention of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah in earth’s affairs. (Dan. 2:34, 35) We will then see the final fulfillment of another prophecy recorded by Isaiah: “The earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.”—Isa. 11:9.
