Oramos a Dios que no hagan ustedes nada malo (2 Cor. 13:7).
¿Le pedimos su espíritu santo a Jehová? ¿Le solicitamos que nos ayude a tener amor, gozo, paz, gran paciencia, bondad, benignidad, fe, apacibilidad y autodominio? (Luc. 11:13; Gál. 5:22, 23.) Si así es, nuestras palabras y acciones demostrarán que andamos y vivimos por espíritu (Gál. 5:16, 25). También es muy necesario que los padres oren por sus hijos. Por ejemplo, si un padre se entera de que sus hijos se sienten tentados a copiar en los exámenes, puede orar por ellos y ayudarlos con la Biblia a ver la importancia de ser honrados y no ceder a la tentación. Por eso Pablo les dijo a los corintios las palabras del texto de hoy. Orar con humildad a favor de otros agrada a Jehová y demuestra qué clase de personas somos (Pro. 15:8). Asimismo, podemos pedirles a los demás que oren por nosotros, como hizo Pablo. Él escribió: “Ocúpense en orar por nosotros, porque confiamos en que tenemos una conciencia honrada, puesto que deseamos comportarnos honradamente en todas las cosas” (Heb. 13:18).

We pray to God that you may do nothing wrong.—2 Cor. 13:7.
Do we individually pray for holy spirit, asking Jehovah to help us display its fruitage of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, and self-control? (Luke 11:13; Gal. 5:22, 23) If so, our words and deeds will show that we are walking and living by spirit. (Gal. 5:16, 25) If we learn that our children are being tempted to cheat on tests at school, we should pray for them and also give them Scriptural help so that they will act honestly and will not do anything wrong. Paul told Christians in Corinth the words of today’s text. Humble prayers of that kind please Jehovah and speak well of us. (Prov. 15:8) We can ask that others pray for us, even as the apostle Paul did. “Carry on prayer for us,” he wrote, “for we trust we have an honest conscience, as we wish to conduct ourselves honestly in all things.”—Heb. 13:18.
