Oh Daniel, haz secretas las palabras [...] hasta el tiempo del fin (Dan. 12:4).
Los israelitas tenían la esperanza de que la humanidad recuperara la perfección que Adán había perdido. Y las Escrituras Griegas Cristianas explican lo que Dios hará para que los seres humanos puedan vivir para siempre en la Tierra. Entonces, ¿por qué habría de resurgir dicha esperanza? Jesús predijo que los falsos profetas deformarían sus enseñanzas y engañarían a la mayoría de la gente (Mat. 24:11). El apóstol Pedro advirtió a los cristianos: “Habrá falsos maestros entre ustedes” (2 Ped. 2:1). Y Pablo habló de un período en que las personas “no soportar[ían] la enseñanza saludable”, sino que, “de acuerdo con sus propios deseos”, buscarían maestros que “les regal[aran] los oídos”, es decir, que les dijeran solo lo que querían escuchar (2 Tim. 4:3, 4). Satanás se ha encargado de engañar a la gente y ha usado a la cristiandad para ocultar la reconfortante verdad acerca del propósito de Dios para el hombre y la Tierra (2 Cor. 4:3, 4).

O Daniel, make secret the words . . . until the time of the end.—Dan. 12:4.
The lifting of mankind to the perfection that Adam lost was part of the hope of Israel. The Christian Greek Scriptures explain by what means God will make possible everlasting life for mankind in Paradise on earth. So why did man’s hope have to be rediscovered? Jesus foretold that false prophets would corrupt his teachings and that most people would be misled. (Matt. 24:11) The apostle Peter warned Christians: “There will also be false teachers among you.” (2 Pet. 2:1) The apostle Paul spoke of “a period of time when [people would] not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they [would] accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled.” (2 Tim. 4:3, 4) Satan is involved in misleading people and has used apostate Christianity to obscure the heartwarming truth about God’s purpose for man and the earth.—2 Cor. 4:3, 4.
