Marriage
Definition: The union of a man and a woman to live together as husband and wife according to the standard set out in the Holy Scriptures. Marriage is a divine institution. It provides for intimate relationship between husband and wife along with a feeling of security because there is a climate of love and because a personal commitment has been made by each mate. When establishing marriage, Jehovah did so not only to provide a close companion who would be a complement of man but also to make provision for producing more humans and doing so within a family arrangement. Legally registering a marriage relationship that is acceptable to the Christian congregation is required wherever possible.

Definición: La unión de un hombre y una mujer para vivir juntos como esposo y esposa conforme a la norma que se expone en las Santas Escrituras. El matrimonio es una institución divina. Hace posible una relación íntima entre esposo y esposa, junto con una sensación de seguridad, porque hay un ambiente de amor y porque cada cónyuge ha hecho un compromiso personal. Jehová estableció el matrimonio no solo para proveer al hombre una compañera íntima que sería complemento para él, sino también para que se produjeran más humanos y que esto se efectuara dentro de un arreglo de familia. Dondequiera que sea posible, se requiere que se registre legalmente una relación matrimonial que sea aceptable para la congregación cristiana.
