Daddy Wouldn't Go

Daddy Wouldn't Go

Daddy had a little boy,
His mind was white as snow,
He never went to the Kingdom Hall,
Cause Daddy wouldn't go.

He never heard the word of God,
That thrills the childish mind,
While other children went to meetings,
This child was left behind.

As he grew from babe to youth,
Dad saw to his dismay,
A mind that once was snowy white,
Had become dingy gray.

Realizing that his son was lost,
Dad tried to win him back,
But now through wrong association,
He'd gotten on the wrong track.

Dad even started back to meetings,
And Bible studies too,
He begged the servants,
Isn't there something you can do?

The servants tried, failed, and said,
We're just too far behind,
We tried to tell you years ago,
But you would pay no mind.

And so another life was lost,
That once was white as snow.
The meetings really would have helped
But Daddy wouldn't go.
